Celebrate culture, community, and connection at the City of Mandurah’s Australia Day 2025 events. Everyone is invited to join the festivities as we honour local champions and welcome our newest Australian citizens.

Event Highlights

• Citizen of the Year Awards: Recognising individuals and groups who go above and beyond for the Mandurah community.
• Australian Citizenship Ceremony: Witness 103 individuals from 17 countries take the pledge to become Australian citizens.
• Cultural Activities: Enjoy cultural face painting, Indigenous sand art demonstrations, and more.
• Interactive Community Canvas: Contribute to a collective art project celebrating Mandurah’s vibrant spirit.
• Sausage Sizzle: Grab a snag from the Mandurah Lions Club to cap off the morning in true Aussie fashion.

Special Pre-Event Kick off the celebrations with a meaningful Smoking Ceremony on Saturday, 25 January at 5pm.

Citizen of the Year Awards
The Citizen of the Year Awards celebrate those who make extraordinary contributions to the Mandurah community. Winners will be announced across four categories:

• Community Citizen of the Year
• Senior Community Citizen of the Year (65+ years)
• Young Community Citizen of the Year (16-30 years)
• Active Citizenship Award (for a group or event)

These awards are a moment to reflect, respect, and celebrate our local heroes.

Australian Citizenship Ceremony
Join the City of Mandurah in welcoming 103 new citizens as they take the pledge to officially call Australia home. This moving ceremony highlights the rich diversity of Mandurah’s community, where over 24,000 residents were born overseas.
