Immerse yourself in Mandurah’s water life

The Mandurah Estuary, Peel-Harvey Estuary and the region’s many lakes, rivers and conservation reserves form the Peel-Yalgorup Wetland System. This diverse eco-system is not only a habitat for many plant and animal species, it also provides great spots for swimming, fishing, canoeing and boating plus other aquatic fun.

You can learn the intricacies of the marine environment as you tour the canals, estuary and wetlands by boat.

Or Join a guided walking tour to take you through the wetlands and learn about the incredible, internationally significant Peel Yalgorup Wetlands System. Take in the spectacular views of the coast and lakes in Yalgorup National Park and visit the 2,000 year old thrombolite reef at Lake Clifton to see what life was like when the earth began.

And don’t forget your binoculars as this region is home to thousands of migratory shorebirds that feed and shelter in the wetlands from October to March.
