Interactive kids’ astronomy workshop at Mandurah Visitor Centre.

Discover the wonders of the universe at the Interactive Dark Sky Talk for Kids in Mandurah, a fun and educational experience designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Held at the Mandurah Visitor Centre, this engaging session brings the magic of the night sky to life in an interactive, family-friendly setting.
Led by Suzy from Starbright Wonderland, this 45-minute hands-on workshop is perfect for children aged 6 to 11. Young explorers will learn about stars, planets and the universe through engaging activities that make science exciting and easy to understand.
A highlight of the session is creating a planisphere — a clever tool that shows which stars are visible throughout the year. Each child will take home their own planisphere along with an interactive activity sheet, encouraging them to continue exploring the night sky from home.
This daytime workshop is ideal for families looking for things to do in Mandurah with kids, offering a unique mix of learning and fun in a welcoming indoor environment. At the end of the session, all participating children will go into the draw to win a special door prize.
