Celebrate the opening of the South East Dawesville Foreshore at a special Play by the Bay event!
Celebrate the opening of Dawesville’s newest waterfront destination at Play by the Bay! This free community event marks the official launch of the South East Dawesville Foreshore, a vibrant new space designed for families, locals and visitors to relax, play, and connect by the Peel-Harvey Estuary.
Visitors can explore the area’s brand-new playground, basketball and netball half courts, grassed picnic areas, and sheltered barbecue facilities – all set against stunning estuary views.
Enjoy a packed program of activities including:
- A free sausage sizzle (thanks to the Falcon Lions Club)
- Live music by Danny Bau
- Face-painting, bungee trampolines, rock climbing wall and giant games
- Coffee van with complimentary coffees
- A chance to chat with City of Mandurah Councillors about local community matters
The South East Dawesville Foreshore has been designed with community input and a strong focus on preserving the natural environment. With wide pathways, additional parking (including ACROD bays), and over 4,000 native plants being added during landscaping, the foreshore is set to become a favourite local spot for years to come.
