A brand new show bringing you classic tracks recorded by the iconic supergroup THE TRAVELLING WILBURYS, as well as performing selection from the songwriting catalogues of Wilbury icons, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty.
Conceived and directed by renowned record producer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Michael Carpenter (The Beatle Boys, Petty Nicks, Shane Nicholson, and countless others) the show brings together a top level lineup of versatile singers and multi-instrumentalists to represent the significant body of work represented by The Wilburys, together and alone.
Joining Carpenter are John Kater (The Beatnix, The Beatles Boys), Rod Auld (The Beatle Boys, The Soul Movers, Jon English), Russell Crawford (The Beatle Boys, Josh Pyke, The Album Show), and Paul Andrews (Lazy Susan, Yacht Rock Show Band, Family Fold). This unique collection of singers and multi-instrumentalists (the lineup has 4 drummers, 5 guitarists, 3 bass players and 3 keyboard players to choose from) will see this incredible setlist represented with authentic live representations of the energy and excitement of the original recordings, performed by a group of great voices and seasoned performers.
The repertoire will draw on tracks the Wilburys recorded for their 2 albums, as well as some special bonus tracks recorded during their time together. It will also draw on the solo hits, as well as material from Harrison’s “Beatles Years”, Lynne’s time with ELO and Petty’s catalogue with and without The Heartbreaker, all with the quality we’ve come to expect from THE ALBUM SHOW!!
