Monique Boucher, Silver winner of Australia’s Top Tour Guide Award and recipient of the FACET Golden Guide of the Year, is the founder and Director of Merriment at Hidden deTours. Drawing on a lifetime in the performing arts, she crafts immersive experiences full of personality, creativity and flair.
Tours include going behind the scenes to smell, taste and touch the ingredients behind WA gin, whisky, wine, beer and cider; meeting passionate local producers and hearing firsthand stories that bring their craft to life; and venturing down laneways, into basements and onto rooftops to discover hidden bars and eateries.
Guests can also picnic under the stars on a sunset and stargazing tour, where the night sky comes alive through telescopes and laser-guided storytelling via silent-disco headphones. Or join Noongar guide Steven Jacob (In Culture Tours) and Monique (Hidden deTours) for a cross-cultural truth-telling tour along the Rockingham Foreshore, accompanied by musical soundscapes.
