Discover Mandurah’s history on a fun guided heritage walk through the city centre.
Step back in time and discover the stories behind some of Mandurah’s most historic places on this engaging Children’s Heritage Walk through the city centre.
Starting at Mandurah Museum, this approximately 1km guided walking tour takes young explorers through Mandurah’s historic central business district, with stops at significant landmarks including Christ’s Church, the former Brighton Hotel and Mandurah Traffic Bridge.
At each stop, participants will hear stories about how these places have changed over time—including their purpose, appearance and importance to the local community.
Along the way, children will discover how Mandurah grew from a small settlement into the vibrant coastal city it is today, while exploring stories of early colonisation, changing industries, community life and the ways Mandurah has remembered and celebrated its past.
The walk is a great way for families visiting Mandurah to experience the city beyond its waterways and beaches, bringing local history to life through stories and real places.
