Join the Giants and Wetlands Wander in Mandurah for a family-friendly guided hike, wildlife spotting, mindfulness and morning tea.

Celebrate Mandurah Families Week 2026 with a guided outdoor adventure through one of Mandurah’s most peaceful and wildlife-rich natural areas.
Join Off The Beaten Track WA for the Giants and Wetlands Wander, a relaxed family-friendly hike along the scenic Mariner’s Cove Trail within Creery Wetlands Nature Reserve. Designed for families of all ages and abilities, this gentle two-hour experience offers the perfect opportunity to step away from screens, reconnect with nature and spend quality time together outdoors.
Led by experienced local guides, families will explore boardwalks overlooking the Peel Inlet, visit a bird hide and viewing platform, and discover the unique ecosystems that make the wetlands so special. Along the way, children and adults alike will learn about local wildlife, including migratory shorebirds and native species, while taking part in simple mindfulness activities designed to encourage connection with the natural environment.
The experience also includes a visit to one of the iconic Giants of Mandurah sculptures by Thomas Dambo, adding an extra sense of wonder and discovery to the walk.
To finish the morning, families can relax and enjoy a shared morning tea in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Presented in partnership with the City of Mandurah and Act, Belong, Commit, this special event encourages healthy, active lifestyles and meaningful moments together in nature.
