Hand Build A Butter Dish Workshop

Create your own handmade ceramic butter dish in this fun and creative pottery workshop with Shakka Pottery in Mandurah. Throughout the workshop, you’ll learn professional slab-building techniques used by the studio to craft a butter dish and perfectly fitted lid from scratch. Personalise your creation using a wide range of signature stamps and textures, including sea life, bees, florals, cowgirl and cactus designs, as well as the studio’s popular coral textures and decorative finishes.

Your experienced instructor will guide you through every step, from rolling clay slabs and constructing your butter dish to adding decorative details, slip trailing and selecting your preferred glaze colours. Once completed, your piece will be professionally glazed and kiln-fired, ready to collect in approximately 3–4 weeks.
