Fold prehistoric sea creatures in this creative origami workshop for young artists.

Dive into the prehistoric world of ancient ocean predators and discover the art of origami at Make Your Own Sea Monster: Origami Workshop with Sammy Ang at Mandurah Museum.
Inspired by the Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Ocean Predators exhibition, this hands-on workshop invites young people aged 10-16 to transform simple sheets of paper into striking prehistoric sea creatures inspired by ancient marine reptiles.
Led by renowned paper artist Sammy Ang, participants will learn step-by-step origami techniques, discovering how careful folds and creative design can bring fascinating creatures from the past to life.
Combining art, science and imagination, this unique school holiday activity offers young people the chance to explore prehistoric marine life in a creative new way. Best of all, participants can take their finished origami sea creatures home.
A sensory-friendly session is also available for participants who prefer a calmer and more supportive environment.
Whether your child loves dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures, enjoys making things with their hands or wants to try something completely different, this creative workshop is a fun way to experience Mandurah Museum and Mandurah Arts Festival 2026.
