Got a sewing machine but not quite sure how to use it? Learn the basics of sewing in this welcoming, beginner-friendly workshop at Mandurah Arts and Crafts Society.

Perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking to refresh their skills, the workshop will introduce you to the essential techniques you need to start sewing with confidence.

The first part of the session covers sewing machine basics, including threading your machine, filling and replacing bobbins, using different sewing feet and understanding stitch lengths.

You’ll then put your new skills into practice by creating your own handmade tote bag to take home, learning useful sewing techniques along the way.

Most materials are provided. Participants will need to bring their own sewing machine and manual, cutting scissors and sewing pins.
