Build and decorate your own wooden shark at this fun school holiday workshop in Mandurah.

Dive into the prehistoric world of ocean predators and get creative at the Make Your Own Sea Monster – Wooden Shark Workshop at Mandurah Museum.
Inspired by the Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Ocean Predators exhibition, this hands-on school holiday workshop gives children aged 5-12 the chance to build their very own wooden shark. Young participants will sand, assemble and decorate their shark using vibrant paint pens before taking their unique ocean creature home.
Combining creativity, making and a little prehistoric ocean discovery, the workshop is a fun experience for curious kids who love animals, art and learning about the creatures that once ruled the deep.
The activity takes approximately one hour and is designed to encourage creativity, develop fine motor skills and spark curiosity about the ocean and its ancient inhabitants.
A sensory-friendly session is also available, providing a calmer and more supportive environment for children who prefer a quieter experience.
No materials are required, although an art smock is recommended to protect clothing from paint pens.
