Explore Mandurah’s history through a unique exhibition experience at the Mandurah Museum, running from 21 April to 12 June 2026, and discover the stories that have shaped this coastal city.

Deeply connected to its waterways, coastline and surrounding landscape, Mandurah has long been a place of gathering, culture and everyday life. This exhibition brings those stories to life through a curated collection of twelve meaningful objects, sourced from the Museum collection and generously shared by members of the local community.

Each object offers a glimpse into Mandurah’s past — small in scale, yet rich in history — inviting visitors to reflect on how the region has evolved over time.

Perfect for families, the exhibition also features a range of free children’s activities, designed to make learning about Mandurah’s history fun and interactive.

Kids can:

  • Match historic photographs with present-day locations to see how Mandurah has changed
  • Piece together a jigsaw of the first Mandurah Bridge, built in 1894
  • Get hands-on at the crab and fish measuring station, learning about local marine life and the importance of protecting our waterways

This engaging and accessible exhibition offers something for all ages, making it a great addition to your next visit to Mandurah.
