Mandurah Shines Bright at ‘Australia’s Top Tourism Town Awards’
Mandurah has once again made its mark on the tourism map, securing a prestigious award at the ‘Australia’s Top Tourism Town Awards’ held in Canberra today. Mandurah’s exceptional tourism offerings have earned it Gold in this esteemed national competition.
Visit Mandurah General Manager, Anita Kane, said this is a remarkable achievement and it’s on the back of an exciting year of tourism triumphs for Mandurah. The resounding success of ‘Thomas Dambo’s – Giants of Mandurah’ exhibition initiated by FORM Building a State of Creativity brought an unprecedented surge in visitor numbers to the Mandurah Visitor Centre.
Our winning streak began in 2022 when Mandurah was crowned Western Australia’s Top Tourism Town, and in May 2023 we took home the coveted top spot again for the second year in a row.
In 2022, Mandurah proudly secured the Bronze award at the national level, and this year, we have raised the bar even higher beating off strong competition from across Australia.
“Here at Visit Mandurah, we are thrilled that our stunning coastal city has been recognised on a national level as a Top Tourism Town. It is a prestigious title and one we truly believe Mandurah is worthy of. For the last five years in particular, Mandurah’s tourism industry has adapted, innovated, and reimagined its offerings. It is a real joy to see these efforts recognised,” said Ms Kane.
Mandurah’s exceptional performance at the ‘Australia’s Top Tourism Town Awards’ showcases the city’s intrinsic natural beauty, warm hospitality, and superb tourism experiences, solidifying its position as a premier destination for visitors from Western Australia and beyond.
This achievement would not have been possible without the collective effort of our tourism community and the support of the City of Mandurah. We extend our grateful thanks to everyone who has contributed to making Mandurah the top tourism town it is today.
