CASM Exhibition – IOTA24 | Codes of Peel

Delve into the intriguing world of contemporary ceramics at CASM‘s inaugural exhibition, where Peel region artists explore the theme ‘Codes in Parallel’ under the banner of IOTA24. This exhibition promises a deep dive into the myriad languages encoded within modern craft.

“Objects often contain hidden depths, encoded in the depicted motifs and symbols, through techniques and materials, or found in their ritual or spiritual uses.” – IOTA24

Featured ceramists, including Shannon Baggott, Gayle Bukey, Jacq Chorlton, Carl Clitheroe, Penelope Collis, Tich Dixon, Isaac Gould, Kell Lakia, Alana Grant, Jessie Griffiths-Heath, Amanda Harris, Patricia Hines, Lyn Nixon, Bec Thomas, Fox Ward, and Hamish Webster, invite you to unravel these hidden narratives.

Mark your calendar for the Exhibition Opening on Friday, 6 September at 6pm, and engage with the artists during their insightful Artists Talks on Sunday, 15 and 22 September at 11am.

For the latest updates, visit the Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah Facebook Page or explore more at CASM. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the rich symbolism and craftsmanship woven into each piece, showcasing the boundless creativity of our local ceramic artists!

heartbeat.

‘heartbeat.’ tells the real stories of those attempting to create a career in the arts long after everybody else has grown up.

blending theatre, spoken word, music and verbatim elements, this debut show from ‘perhaps, a theatre company.’ follows five west australian artists as they desperately try to find meaning in their role as a performer. ‘heartbeat.’ explores the power of art in a world that favours the monotonous, returning both the audience and the performers to the magic of childhood and the thing that connects us all: the all-consuming, undeniable desire to create.
